Lilac albatrellus is a member of a large group of tinder fungi.

It can grow both on wood (prefers deciduous trees) and on soil (forest floor). The species is common in Europe (forests, parks), found in Asia, North America. It is rare in our country, specimens were found in the central regions, as well as in the Leningrad region.

Season: from spring to late autumn.

Basidiomas are represented by a cap and a stem. Fruiting bodies can grow together, but there are also single specimens.

Kepurės large (up to 10-12 cm), convex in the center, with a lobed margin. In young mushrooms, the shape of the cap is in the form of a funnel, in a later period – flat-convex. Color – yellow, egg-cream, sometimes with dark spots. The surface is matte, may have a slight fluff.

ortakiai hymenophore – yellow, cream, have thick fleshy walls, run down the leg. The pores are angular.

koja in lilac albatrellus growing on the ground it can reach 5-6 centimeters, in specimens on wood it is very short. Color – in the tone of the mushroom cap. The shape of the stem can be curved, slightly resembling a tuber. There are micellar cords. In old mushrooms, the stem is hollow inside.

A feature of the lilac albatrellus is the strong plexus of the cap and leg vultures.

Spores are a wide ellipse.

Belongs to the edible category of mushrooms.
