Even when working in a dream company, sometimes you want to “cancel” Mondays, as in a famous song. In order not to start every week with a bad mood, we recommend 10 simple rituals.

1. Make Sunday the first day of the week

First of all, stop considering Sunday as the saddest weekend. Start the countdown of the new week right there: go to brunch, wander around the farm products market or meet up with an old friend. And just relax!

2. Plan an exciting event

Sounds like crazy, doesn’t it? Nevertheless, it works. You will look forward to the evening if you plan an interesting event. An evening of board games with friends, a movie night or a glass of wine at the bar. Do not put off the most pleasant things for the weekend, the taste of life is given by such spontaneous decisions.

3. Shorten your to-do list and prioritize

Often Monday becomes endless due to the fact that you have too much planned for this day. I would like to have time not only to complete urgent matters, but also to work hard on new projects. The to-do list takes up several pages in the diary, and you simply forget about lunch.

Set your priorities. Choose only «burning tasks» to start the week and devote more time to proper planning.

4. Choose an outfit in advance

Prepare your clothes in advance, get up an hour earlier, iron your skirt and blouse. Beautiful appearance and nice words are the best motivator.

5. Listen to a new podcast

Find podcasts that you really enjoy and record them to listen to on the way to work. Dedicate yourself to relaxing over the weekend, and start the week with new knowledge, which, by the way, you can immediately put into practice in the next 24 hours.

6. Vary your two liters of water a day

We all know that we should drink at least six glasses of pure water a day. But sometimes it bothers and you want to somehow diversify a good habit. Therefore, add lemon or cucumber slices, lime slices or mint leaves to the water.

7. Cook a new dish

Cooking is a kind of meditation that has a therapeutic effect on the inhabitants of large cities. Look for new recipes, since there is no shortage of culinary resources now. Frozen foods are definitely more practical, but it’s worth trying your hand at home cooking.

8. Book the best fitness class in town

If you haven’t been exercising yet, now is the time to do so. Choose your time and find activities that you enjoy – Pilates on Monday will give you an extraordinary boost of energy, and yoga at the end of the week will help you restore lost strength and relax.
