Maskvos ekologas mirė nuo vapsvos įkandimo

Renowned ecologist Alexandra Astavina died in the east of Moscow from a wasp sting. The 39-year-old scientist, talking on the phone, decided to take a couple of sips of juice straight from the pack. An insect lurked in the package, which bit Alexandra.

Astavina immediately reported the incident to her friend, with whom she was talking, and soon the connection was cut off. An alarmed acquaintance of Alexandra went to her house, but the door was locked.

Then he called the Ministry of Emergency Situations and an ambulance. The door was opened and the ecologist was found dead. Alexandra’s little son was sleeping in the next room. The boy has already been handed over to his relatives.

An acquaintance of Astavina’s claims that everything was in order with her health, and she never complained of an allergy. However, it became known that a year ago the ecologist suffered a heart attack.

The cause of death will be determined by a forensic medical examination. According to a preliminary assumption, Astavina died of anaphylactic shock.

Alexandra graduated from the Faculty of Political Science of MGIMO, as well as the Faculty of Economics of VGIK. The ecologist has served on the public advisory councils of several political parties.
