Why do hair ends split?

Split ends are the result of overdrying your hair. They are constantly subjected to high temperatures during drying with a dryer, curling iron or straightener. They are also affected by chemistry – during coloring or waving. The problem is also the lack of regular trimming of the ends and the use of good quality shampoos. If we brush dry hair with a sharp brush or comb every day, we contribute to their brittleness and weakening. They also don’t like unhealthy updos like pulling their hair back and tying it in a ponytail. This weakens their bulbs.dieta – if we do not provide nourishment from the inside, we will significantly weaken the hair. This applies to both dietary supplements and what we eat every day.

Hair saver

Saving hair should be carried out from the outside, but also from the inside. The first step should be to cut the hair – split ends can no longer be regenerated, so cutting them is necessary.

How to prevent? First, protection

To protect the ends of your hair, rub pure lanolin or castor oil into them half an hour before washing. Heated olive oil and sunflower oil have the same properties. They also affect the better appearance of the hair. For more patient people, we recommend an egg mask. Apply the mask thoroughly to the hair and keep it wrapped for about 30-45 minutes. It is not recommended for oily hair, so people with this problem should reach for other methods. With all treatments, remember that the hair must be warm, so it is best to wrap the hair with foil or put on a foil cap and additionally wrap it with a terry towel.  

Second, vitamins

Let’s enrich our daily diet with products containing large amounts of B vitamins, vitamins A, E, zinc, iron and copper.

A few short pieces of advice

  • Use a gentle shampoo with a low pH.
  • Don’t forget to apply conditioner and rinse it off with cold or cool water – this will close the hair cuticles.
  • Apply once a week to dry hair, twice a month to normal hair and once a month to oily hair.
  • Avoid heat and frequent combing.
  • Give up plastic hair brushes and rollers with plastic spikes.
  • Do not tie or comb wet hair – you weaken it.
